All children are entitled to an education that enables them to achieve the best possible educational and other outcomes, and become confident young children with a growing ability to communicate their own views and ready to make the transition into compulsory education
– (Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice 2015)

As a setting we strongly feel that early identification and early action is paramount to a child’s development, this is why all our staff are trained and supported to identify any children who need extra support within their development. We work alongside the requirements of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice 2015 and the Early Years Foundation Stage to identify and individually support children’s needs.

We ensure every child, and their family’s views, wishes, and opinions are at the heart of their support plans. Parents are encouraged to work alongside the child’s key person and the settings Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), as well as any other professionals required, ensuring a holistic approach to creating each child’s individual support plan.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s development, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s key person, alternatively you can also speak to our SENCo, Clare Franklin.
